What is Sciatica?
Sciatica is the pain you’ll feel when the sciatic nerve is pinched. This nerve travels from your lower back, around your hips, and down each of your legs. The pain from sciatica can be anywhere in this travel path and may or may not resolve on its own. If it isn’t resolved, it can lead to long term muscle weakness and pain.
Sciatica usually is only on one side of the body and can be anywhere from mild to severe in form. Pain is said to be “electric”, burning, aching, numb, or deep.
